Mason and Ty have been inseparable best friends for as long as they can remember.  When new girl, Ava, arrives in Pasco, Texas, from NYC, Mason and Ty can’t believe she chooses to befriend them rather than the jocky “popular” kids.  The only problem is, Ava comes between what they always figured was an unbreakable bond.  The book jumps back and forth between Mason’s 12-year-old self and his 17-year old self. However, at 17, a car accident sends Mason back 5 years to wake up as his 12-year-old self.  He has to navigate his life all over again.  However, this time he is determined not to make the same mistakes.  Will he be able to rewrite history?  Can he change the course with Ava so he and Ty remain best friends?
