Growing Pangs is a graphic novel based on the author, Katie’s, childhood experience of growing up with homeschooling and learning to live with anxiety and OCD. This story portrays so many relatable experiences of adolescences: navigating best friends, new friendships and jealousy, summer camp, theater auditions and most unique to this story understanding anxiety and OCD. Although a quick read, there is so much substance to this thoughtful story.
