Framed is a super fun read with suspense designed to hook you right from chapter one. Readers learn that 7th grader, Florian, is a spy for the FBI and has been kidnapped by Romanian gangsters. The story goes on to reveal that Florian’s parents work in art galleries (his mom) and in stolen artwork recovery (his dad). When art goes missing from a famous gallery in Washington D.C., Florian uses T.O.A.S.T., his uniquely designed “Theory of All Small Things,” to pay attention to the little details, thereby discovering bigger messages that help solve puzzles - in this case, the stolen artwork. Despite the ridiculous nature of a 12-year-old being hired by the FBI, the story is quite compelling.

Florian is new to Washington, DC and quickly befriends his neighbor, Margaret. Margaret supports Florian in his efforts to solve these mysteries since Florian promises to help her solve her biggest life mystery: who are her birth parents?

Florian continues piecing information together to try and connect museum workers to the person he and Margaret identified as a guilty party in the art theft. They have to narrow down the guilty parties from inside the museum who knew of the security system reset which coincided with the artwork heist. Read this captivating story to learn how all the details unfold.
